Essential Mahadev Betting Terms

Understanding the terminology is key to navigating Mahadev betting platforms confidently. This glossary covers everything from basic terms to platform-specific jargon.


A

A

Andar Bahar — Traditional Indian card game where players bet on whether a matching card will appear in the Andar (inside/left) or Bahar (outside/right) pile.

Agent — A person who manages player accounts, processes deposits and withdrawals, and earns commission from player activity. Also called “bookie” or “master agent.”

APK — Android Package Kit. The file format used to install Mahadev betting apps on Android devices since they’re not available on Google Play Store.

Back (Betting) — Placing a bet on a particular outcome to happen. Opposite: Lay betting.

Bankroll — The total amount of money a player has set aside exclusively for betting.

Book / Bookie — Short for “bookmaker.” A person or platform that accepts bets. “Mahadev Book” refers to the Mahadev betting platform.

Bonus — Promotional credits or money given to players. Common types: welcome bonus, deposit match, cashback, referral bonus.

Cashout — A feature allowing players to settle a bet before the event concludes. Useful for locking in profits or minimizing losses.

Commission — The percentage earned by agents on player activity. Also called “cut” or “percentage.”

Cricket Exchange — A betting exchange model for cricket where players bet against each other rather than against the bookmaker.

Dragon Tiger — Fast-paced two-card game where players bet on which position (Dragon or Tiger) receives the higher card.

Deposit — Adding funds to your betting account. Common methods: UPI, Paytm, bank transfer, crypto.

Fancy Bet — A type of cricket bet on specific events within a match, such as the number of runs in an over or the method of the next dismissal. Also called “session betting.”

Favorites / Favourites — The outcome (team, player, etc.) expected to win. Opposite: Underdog.

House Edge — The mathematical advantage the platform has over players, expressed as a percentage. Example: Andar Bahar has ~5% house edge on Andar bets.

Handicap — A betting market where a virtual advantage or disadvantage is applied to a team to create more balanced odds.

In-Play / Live Betting — Placing bets while the game or event is in progress. Odds update in real time based on the action.

ID — Your unique account identifier on the betting platform. Used for login and transactions.

Joker (Andar Bahar) — The reference card placed in the center of the table. The game ends when a card of matching rank appears.

Lay (Betting) — Betting against a particular outcome. Used in exchange betting models.

Line — The odds or spread for a particular betting market. “What’s the line on Mumbai Indians?” means “What are the odds for Mumbai Indians?”

Live Dealer — A real human dealer streamed via video, as opposed to a computer-generated game.

Margin — The bookmaker’s built-in profit margin within the odds. Also called “vig” or “juice.”

Master Agent / Super Agent — A top-level agent who manages sub-agents and large player networks.

Odds — The probability of an outcome, expressed as a number. Formats: decimal (2.00), fractional (1/1), or American (+100).

Over / Under — A bet on whether a total statistic (runs, goals, points) will be over or under a specified number.

Parlay / Accumulator — A single bet linking multiple individual bets. All selections must win for the bet to pay out.

Punter — A player who places bets. Simply: you, the bettor.

Reddy Book / Reddy Anna — A popular Mahadev-related betting platform. Part of the same ecosystem as Mahadev Book.

Referral Bonus — A reward given for referring new players to the platform.

Rollover / Wagering Requirement — How many times you must bet (roll over) bonus money before you can withdraw it.

Satta — Hindi/Urdu term for betting or gambling. “Satta bazaar” means betting market.

Session (Cricket) — A specific period within a cricket match for betting purposes. “Session 1-6 overs” means betting on what happens in the first 6 overs.

Stake — The amount of money wagered on a particular bet.

Teen Patti — Popular Indian three-card poker game. Also called “Flash” or “Indian Poker.”

Tie (Andar Bahar, Dragon Tiger) — When both sides have equal cards. In Andar Bahar, this cannot happen as there’s one Joker. In Dragon Tiger, it’s a Tie bet.

U

Underdog — The outcome expected to lose. Higher payout if it wins.

UPI — Unified Payments Interface. The most common deposit and withdrawal method on Indian betting platforms.

Withdrawal — Removing funds from your betting account to your bank account or wallet.

Wallet — Your account balance on the betting platform, showing available funds for betting.
